For Many years Thulusdhoo is the most famous island in Kaaf Atoll, which we got so many facilities naturally and by government, namely Atoll office, the main Fish storage Warehouses, worlds number one refreshment Coca-Cola Bottling plant and a world famous Surf Break named under it. Im here to write about people of Thulusdhoo in my view. Its about something my friends and people who visit here always talk about. Like something we have to point out and get a solution. For the visitors to Thulusdhoo they find one thing in common from our eyes, i.e the strange way of eyeballing (looking) on them. Maybe you'll also have noticed this or if you want to see it, when walking around the island, mostly in the evening and nights, some middle aged people grouped up to talk and when you pass by look at them. You'll never want a friend or a visitor to see it from your island. My friends, most people who visited here pointed out specifically this eyeballing behavior, we've been talking about that strange look on their faces since long. Some of them who visited now take it as a specialty of our island. Some take it as a political fever, actually not a fever a disease coz its been there for long now.Elaborating the view from their eyes
Already having the Hardcore DRP island as a political name, some still have a tendency to show it to the ones who come here for holidays. Its like some of them WANT to show it. I wonder whats the use of it, to let them know? Hey, they already know its Hardcore here. They came for relaxation for the Beauty of this Island. They come in Peace.
Its not only the visitors who comment on this "worldcup thashi " feature, from most of the people i talked and most of the youth both males and females from the island also facing this problem. They sure don't like it here. You might have recognized that recently we dont see girls and boys walking on the beaches having family times n fun anymore. Maybe the groupies dont know that some islanders (mostly females) dont like to go out in the evening coz of them. We know we'll meet some of this featured people on the way. These youths don't want to hear on the next day from mom or from a relative that some talked about them and was saying he/she ain't working in home, always roaming around and did this and that with a little bit of spice in the sentences. Most of the talks these "worldcup thashi"s do are not true, not true at all. You know what i mean right? Like they blow out the freedom, they blow out the Socialism of youth. A friendly community is one of the essence a youth will need in growing happily. I have been thinking how will we stop this. For my mind one way to stop this is, make those people realize the outcome of this and show how islanders and visitors take it. They must see the picture they are creating.
Funny fact about these groupies is the way of looking at a Maldivian Film Star, they over smile at them. You know like, with some wrinkles they smile till the end of the lips touches their eyeballs. Anyone who have seen 'The Joker' in Batman cartoons and movies will get that image. I dont know why, they favor these Film Stars so much, coz they meet them on tv everyday? At least good they greet them with a smile, not talking about the back stabbing after he/she passes.

Behind the Lines
According to the comments from oldest in the island, Thulusdhoo was the safest and peaceful island in Kaaf Atoll. It was before around 50 years from this time. Any fishing boat or any traveler crossing Thulusdhoo in their trip will make their stop in this safe land. For the peace and friendliness of the people living in Thulusdhoo. See how it changed to this day. We got friendly people here but a little of them has changed that tradition with time. As for a reason that eyeballing is common with islanders is coz they didn't visit any other island near by. I can say a few travel to other islands on School Vacations with their kids. Mostly we can say those people 'the eyeballers' are stuck with life in island. They just spend their life watching after kids, chit chat with friends mostly about something political, laughing at people and most commonly back stabbing people. So basically they don't know how it feels like to be eyeballed on them or a visitor or anyone passing by like that. For them everyone is strange, coz they never been a stranger. If you wanna know how a stranger feels like, you must first be a stranger to feel it. People always say "why is it special in this island? I don't see it in any of the islands in this Atoll. You guys proud of something? If you are proud of the beauty, take things beautifully...and this thing im seeing here got a bad outcome..teach them the friendly look..." Yeah others dont like it, i even dont like it. As a result it has been giving our island a picture that we don't want, we got more friendly people and great places here on Thulusdhoo to be proud of.
